Sauerkraut Festival 2014

Ohio loves festivals. Like seriously. They have a festival for EVERYTHING!! Popcorn, potatoes, strawberries, sweet corn, renaissance, sauerkraut....you name it they probably have it. It's crazy! And we love going to them! They're mostly like giant art shows with yummy food. What's not to love? We went to the Sauerkraut festival with Anisa and only planned on spending an hour or two, but we ended up spending like 4 1/2 hours there! The weather was great and there were SO many booths! They had so many cute crafts I wanted to buy, but I resisted (most of them :))

I ended up buying this...I couldn't help myself!

I wanted to buy this really badly!!

 I love everything blue china....seriously.

How cute is this owl candelabra?

Cute Christmas ornaments from a BYU alumni! He gave us a discount!

They also had lots of yummy food! We tried a "German Sundae"; it had potatoes, sour cream, sauerkraut, cheese, and bacon bits. SO good!
We tried Sauerkraut pie; it was like a coconut custard pie! Really yummy!

We tried sauerkraut fudge, also delicious!
Look at that list of foods!

Fun and beautiful day!

Plus it ended with a pumpkin patch, so.....awesome.

At dinner, Tyler rated it top 5 funnest days since we've moved into our house. So there you have it! We didn't get to clean out the garage like we planned, so that's probably why he thought it was so fun! Thanks a lot sauerkraut!

General Conference October 2014

I L-O-V-E General Conference! Man, it's wonderful! It is a big time commitment, but SO worth it! I always leave feel inspired and uplifted after hearing from the leaders of the church! And it's so great to spend time with my family for a whole weekend.  It started with the women's broadcast, which was so wonderful! Here are some of my favorite quotes:

People are so talented and I'm always amazed how quickly they make these quotes! Love it!
For the main part of general conference, Elizabeth and Andrew came to Dayton to watch with us! We stocked up with physical nourishment to help out with our spiritual nourishment. :)

While the boys went to the Priesthood session, Elizabeth and I did some light wedding shopping, played Just Dance, and watched Girl Meets World. It was great!

You might not know this, but we've got some serious moves.

Look at these handsome men!

Couple shots!

Did some hair braiding and playing while we listened.

I had a pretty cute buddy to listen with for the other parts. Loud, but cute :)

In between sessions on Sunday, Clark and I played some music.  This boy seriously loves music! It's so cute!

Conference was so great! I can't wait to read the talks again and apply the teachings! Life gets rough sometimes, and I always feel like God gives me little messages that remind me that everything is going to be ok and just to trust in Him. The gospel is SO wonderful! I know it, I live it, I LOVE it!!! I can't wait till April!

Falling in love with Fall....

Summer is my favorite season. Probably because my birthday is in the summer, I don't have to work for two months in the summer, it's hot in the summer, I get to go swimming in the summer, you get to be outside more in the summer. I could go on, but the bottom line is summer is great!! We were really busy this summer so I didn't get to do a lot of my usual summer bucket list activities, so when it ended, I was not happy with fall for coming so quickly. But I'm slowly starting to forgive fall, because it's pretty great too! I'm in love with the colors of fall!! Seriously.  Driving in the fall is dangerous for me because I just want to take pictures of all the beautiful trees and skies! So far I'm accident free, but Ohio better not get any prettier or my record might not be as good ;)

(We chaperoned a Youth dance...talk about being old! ;) )

Fall also means hot chocolate and caramel apple cider!! mmm!

Yay for gift cards to Cracker Barrel! We love that place and it definitely feels more like fall there!

We got some fall decorations for our house at Michael's. We LOVE them!! It makes our house feel so much homier!

Isn't fall beautiful!! Now I REALLY wish fall doesn't end because winter and I don't get along.  We'll see how that wish goes... ;)
